The search for a superintendent will
begin when it is publicly announced that there will be a vacancy in that
position. The process will continue until a replacement is
secured. Through a comprehensive community and staff engagement
process, the Finding Leaders consultants will work with the board of
education to create a desired profile for the new leader. They
will also establish contract standards such as salary, benefits,
contract length, and other stipulations.
Following an agreed upon advertising
scope, Finding Leaders will receive applications and select qualified
individuals for personal interviews. All interviews will be
videotaped and structured around the nationally recognized ISLLC
(Interstate School Leaders Licensure Consortium) and ELLC (Educational
Leadership Constituent Council) standards and research tested for
reliability. Those candidates deemed to be acceptable would be
presented to the board of education for a locally determined selection
process. |
